Seared scallops are incredible easy to do, but, they cook very quickly. So, its easiest to prepare a hot pan with butter. Place your scallops in the pan, sear, and then flip quickly to sear the other side. Remove from heat. Using the same pan, you can add a white wine to create a wonderful sauce. Scallops taste great and do not need an plethora of extra seasoning.
